"Out of Memory" error when trying to print

Here I go again... has anyone seen this error? It won't let me print keeps saying out of memory. The computer has plenty of memory. Indesign CS running on 10.4.4

I've had this come up, but in IDCS2 in OS X 10.3.9. I just saved my work and
rebooted my Mac. Problem was then solved. I'm not sure what actually
caused it to begin with though.

Just a thought... are you running ID over a network or running a job from
either a CD or DVD? This can cause some problems because of the temp
files that the application creates. If it's trying to write to a locked volume, or
one where you only have read access it can cause some hickups, I think.

Hope it helps...

You can try turning off your printer... then back on again. Try to print job again. I've had this happen on occasion and this usually works.

I have had this happen before as well, I was never able to solve it. I printed from another computer.

I've had this happen - turned out that InDesign didn't like a particular font (in this case, it was Optima.) Now, there was nothing actually wrong with the font - it worked fine in all other apps. I converted it to outlines and problem solved.

Ditto all that, including the Optima font & outlines fix.

bigg_MARK 01-24-2006 11:49 AM

Fonts Yup, Convert them to outlines then try printing.

I agree with what they waid TT Optima font will do it every time.

Dunno why...

DCurry 01-24-2006 03:58 PM

Funny thing is that it wasn't TT Optima - it was a Type 1 PostScript font.

Thanks for your help guys. It turns out it was optima font.
