Where did my bleed go

Working in IND CS 2 and ILLUST CS2

I make a A4 ILLUST eps with 3 mm bleed and import it into A4 IND doc with 3 mm bleed

my bleed on the illust eps is gone

WTF?? :?

I believe you need to release the crop area in Ill CS. Edit > Crop > Release or at least something similar to that .

You will need to change the page size in Illy to include the bleed for an .eps file to work.
Or... don't save it as an .eps file,save it as an .ai file and it will work.

Actually David I think it's the other way around. EPS will include the bleed regardless of document size and AI will only place in INDD as the document size is set to in Illy.
I just did this very thing this morning, and I used an EPS because the AI file did not bring my bleed into INDD.
(CS 2 for both apps.)
