Here's a challenge...
OK here's one for ya!
IDCS...make a table, maybe 5 rows and 5 columns, put some text into the cells.
Now cmd click drag a handle to resize dynamically - maybe just a squeeze upwards in the vertical direction.
So you now have a reduced size table yes? Click drag and make a copy...what do you get?
Is it the same size? Nope? Well that's what we get too - a table that is the original size as opposed to an exact replica. Scale, Step and Repeat, copying etc all have the same result.
Any ideas or is this a known issue?

Must be a Mac thang ~
I just made a 5x5 table, put text garblegook in each cell, help down Shift+Cntrl+click and drag to resize table and text proportionally, Cntrl+Alt+click and drag to duplicate and it duplicate the resize table & text perfectly. I also used the Object>Transform>Scale to resize and conventional Copy & Paste and they both worked fine.
I just searched the Adobe InDesign Forums (both Mac and Windows) and all I came across was your post there...

OK try it with Swiss 721 TT.
I've just found that by substituting TT for Type 1 version the table copies exactly.

If your running OS10.3.5 it's another T1 font problem. I have many T1 fonts that no longer work as expected in Panther, converting to TT works but why should we need to. Apple really needs to address this issue, it's been going on for too long now.

No soup (wine maybe, but no soup  )
We had the table with a Truetype font, it wouldn't copy exactly.
Change (or substitute, sorry no sarcasm intended) it to a Type 1 font and we get an exact copy.
Simple - but confusing - maybe font is f*****d?

Hey, Alamaink, hang on a minute - in the 'soup' early?
Do you mean I may have partaken., imbibed or otherwised ingested semi-halucinogenic fluids?
Look my man, I may be old enough to retire in 15 years time, but I have my wits, teeth (no hair tho'), a Yamaha R1 and XJR1300 (both of which I ride within an inch of their limits), a reasonable grasp of grammer and...
...and...I'm raving aren't I?
Never mind I'll be fine in a minute or two...
have a good weekend (not a Lost Weekend like Ray Millands')

Soup in an American acronym for beer. Fonts in OSX suck. I've had many T1 fonts that will only load partial sets and yesterday I had to correct a typo in Acrobat 6 with PSP Arrus BT italic. Tried to un-embed the font and replace it with the same font so I could do the correction but when I selected italic it replaced it with regular. I ended up coping and pasting to do the correction. I love this new OS but these font issues have got to go.
