Illustrator HELP

A customer has sent us a file and its in a newer version (cs, cs2) of illustrator but now we can't get a hold them and was wondering if anyone would have a chance to convert it back to v10 or v8 is possible.
if you can, can you pm me please!

File\ Save as -> Choose version Cs1 or 10, 8

Work around I use is drop the Version cs eps on distiller and open the PDF in Illy. If it's an Ai. file your SOL.
