I have a friend (seriously) who is working in Illustrator CS and we (I) am using Illustrator 10. Is there any way for her to save down to Illustrator 10? I have tried to figure it out and cant seem to do it. Please help!

To save down in Illustrator CS you export to Ilustrator legacy file.
This has been changed in CS2 and now it's just a save.

THanks Time2go!

That really saved us alot of time. I was afraid we would have to re-create everything.

If you don't have the CS, you can always place the CS file into a Quark doc, or InDesign document and save out a .eps from that document.

Then you can open the saved out .eps in Illustrator.

Had a client who was desigining for a publication and she kept getting advertisements in Illy CS and she didn't have the CS software.
I would come in and she would email us about 10 logos to save down to Illy 10.

Told her about the above workaround and now she does it on her own.

Not the most accurate and best way, but a quick cheap fix for when the time is an issue.

Joe why don't you post this in the Tips-N-Tricks Section. I'm sure there are lots out there who haven't been able to up to Illy CS or CS2 and would really appreciate a tip like this.
