Illustrator 10 Question

I just had something funky happen, and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this.

I have a customer supply me with illustrator 8 files. Part of our SOP is to go into all illustrator files, remove spot colors, set resolution to 2400 and save. Now, one of our operators goes in and does this, then saves as an Illustrator 10 file. When they update the artwork in Quark...the art moves ever so slightly. The only reason we noticed this is that the top of the art was right at the edge of the picture box and got cut off when we ripped it.

Has anyone else run into this? Does anyone else have an idea as to why this would happen? If I save it back to 8, it goes back to the proper position.

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.

thanks.

Dave

Try Using 10 to save as an 8 file, then quit and re-open and save as a 10. I think that will cure it.
