Edit: I just read about Vee's positive experience that he had with a tech, and Mark and I are working toward a solution.

We've been struggling with connectivity between Metadimension and the Prosetter lately. We've been having a situation where the connection drops between both devices for some inexplicable reason. It will happen for a split second and then come right back up, I happened to have the service control monitor pulled up and finally saw it happen yesterday. What happens is a message pops up that says "Device Module Control not ready" then almost immediately it went back to "The System is Running". The result is that all the jobs we have lined up in the queue fail. There is speculation that it has to do with the ethernet cable connecting the devices. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Update:
I changed out the ethernet cable and everything seems to be running ok for the moment. Sucks because this is the second one that's gone bad this year, third since we put the machine in place.

Slowpockets,

I am sorry for your problems but I can guess who you are by your location and equipment. I have contacted the Service Manager, he was boarding a plane and he will be contacting you when he lands. I told him who I thought you are so you may want to call me or PM to be sure I have the right person. I also just called your Salesman and he will be calling.

I do know you have my phone number, the Heidelberg Implementation Specialist, Plate Specialist and both Salesmens number. As we have stated in the past, if you had a problem, please call any of us. I can say I am disappointed that you have not. We do want to help.

Add one more of those positive experiences to the list. :wink:
It took a little longer than I would have liked, and we hit a few bumps along the way - but it's all good!! And that's a good thing!!
