Sorry I didn't say.

yeah the problem is still there - I can't get a job to stay in the active queue and not process. I tried the job bigger than plate size as suggested but it just throws up a error window and then chucks it across into the held queue.

Can you try to rotate the file n output?
Have you got any sceenshot of the error? / what does it read?
Send me a log file if you can.

The error is intentional - I created the job bigger than the plate as was advised early in the thread. It's not really the issue.

All I want is a Job to stay in the active queue and not process when the disable output is unticked. We had this originally just annoyed someone deleted it and I can't recreate it.

Well Do a back of the rip ( using backup.ps) and then reinstall the RIP. and run the back up again to restore it.
Wish I could help you with a RDC tool if you have permissions.

Try this: check "Don't delete page" in a page buffer's Info window.

This changes the delete permission and, from memory, may also prevent output.

No tried that - still processes just stops it from being deleted from the held que.
