Roam broken on ECRM 5.3.4 Windows rip

Hello all. first post. Looks like a great forum that I've found here.

Anybody ever lose the ability to roam on their rip? On my ECRM 5.3.4 Windows rip, if you click the roam button, it grays out, but no roam window comes up. Which means no roam window to close to make the roam button work again. You have to Quit the rip program to get the button to become ungrayed out. Not that it matters since you can't roam anyway.

I wonder if this is a rip software problem or a Windows problem.... I am a Mac guy primarily, but I'm no slouch on the dark side either. Still, I'm stumped on this one. I'd rather not have to reinstall everything.

Any ideas?

Try re-ripping the job maybe after a reboot of the rip? Could be a corrupt SW folder.

Thanks but this has been going on for months now while I've been searching for a solution. Many reboots, Windows updates, malware scans, and fiddling in the rip program have yielded nothing. You can't roam any job ever. As sson as you click the Roam button it grays out without giving you a roam box.

I think I'm doomed to reinstall.....

That sucks, my rip ran on a 9600 Mac and I never had your issue. Must be a winblows thing. Good luck!

Have you changed the resolution of the windows box at all recently? I have memories that sometimes one of the config files is sw could get confused and try to load the windows in a position which can not be viewed, I think the the fix was to edit or just delete the file, and then it would work, I think it was called something like positions or windowpositions, I don't have a RIP handy at the moment so can not confirm
