Indigo 3050 RIP 5.2
We have an Indigo 3050 with the rip being upgraded to 5.2 a couple of months ago. My question is regarding the PDFs we send to it. Question number 1) Color issues. We have 3 Macs and 3 PCs...All the settings in the application programs are set the same, ie InDesign, Illustrator etc. We create a PDF of the file and use Quite Impo in Acrobat (Version 7) to step up the files and print to the Indigo. We can send the same file from a Mac and PC and the colors are different. What do I need to change, look for as to why this is happenening? Is it something on the Indigo or on the Prepress end?
Question 2) Regarding the PDFs. When we make them from said programs, check them in Acrobat, send to a proofing system, ie Doc 12, they all look fine, but when they are printed from the Indigo, the images can be reversed. We can re-save them with cmyk, simulate overprint and they will work fine, but that is not always the case. Sometimes that fixes them and sometimes it does not. This is a problem with drop shadows, gradiants, art on art, etc created in InDesign and sometimes Illustrator.
I am sure I am leaving out something, but I do hope this makes some since to you.
