Barcode Reader/Verifier Needed

Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to a good Barcode Reader/Verifier that can scan codes on proofs/plates/press sheets. We have been using Handheld products Quick check UC200's but all have died except for one. Anyone one out there using something else? Looking for something standalone that doesn't have to be tethered to a computer if possible and has a built in display.

thanks,
Dub

We have been using a Handheld Products Quick Check 800 and it seems to be holding up pretty well. It is stand-alone and has a screen. We have a printer hooked up to it for hard copies of the scans. It will also grade the scan to verify the readability. I hope this helps.
