prepresstraining.com

Ive been looking into this site.

I believe I am going to purchase the monthly library option to get a feel what it is like. Then the annual library if I find it is helping.

example: I take the PitStop Professional Lessons (11 of them)

Q: Can I retake these lessons over and over within the month time limit. (say even daily / hourly?)

Q: Once you complete the tests and score high enough, do you still have access to the Lessons (you have completed sucessfully) to retake ?

Q: Could I go nuts and spend all Fri clicking (and learning) everything I can think off until my brain melts? then do it all over again Sat and Sun?

Q: and could I do the MAC Pitstop at work, then login at home and take the PC pitstop or am I stuck with one once I choose the option?

Thanks.

1. You can take the lessons all you want, anytime, day or night, 24-7
2. Once you take the final exam for a course, you no longer have access to the lesson
3. Yes, as long as you don't do the final exam
4. Anywhere that you have an internet connection, you can log in and play all day. The library contains Mac and PC versions, if you are the admin, then you decide if you want all, or just Mac, or just PC.

hope this helps,
David

PS. You can also email them and they will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Just to confirm what David said they are more than happy to help, you'll have access for whole year, it's best to buy the whole Training Library rather than just pick and choose, it's a lot better value for money.

It's actually a really good course. We've had it here last year (had about 20 operators signed up for the yearly library). This year I have 5 signed up for a year. They were afraid at first, but they all liked it once they got into it.
With all the testing and such, take a test to see what you know, take a lesson, take final exam...
too much schoolin'...
but they got over it and found it was great for those things you didn't really know were there.

cheers,
David

We had this in our shop for a while but nobody really liked it. So we just bought a premium subscription to Lynda.com. We have a Mac set up that's logged in all day and anybody can use it when it's slow or on break. Have you ever considered Lynda???

actually no.
I have not.

Ill have to check that out as an option aswell.

I know I emailed the people at PPT and they are emailing me.. quite a bit.. in regards to if I have made up my mind..
I have yet to even talk to my Lead Hand and VP as VAC is messing around with scheduling and people acutally being there to talk to.

(and who wants to talk at 7am after Nightshift as your VP is walking in making his morning coffee... not him thats for sure! )

Without knocking Lynda.com for a moment, is it at all interactive? Or is it like the VTC stuff, just watch-only? The slight advantage of PPT is that there is a basic level of "click here", "now click here" style interactive presentation. Even this basic level tends to reinforce learnin'. Also wards off the dreaded " "ZZZzzz" syndrome.
Just asking/remarking...is all.
