When you say image errors are you referring to registration? Whatever your sequence is for plotting cyan (if its the 3rd film out) try plotting say 3 magenta negs and register them up on the table. If the 3rd position one is out of register then its not your CYAN neg thats giving you the problem but it may be a read error from the hard drive that is corrupt. This type of imagesetter has 2 hard drives that toggles the info to be plotted. When you plot the smaller outputs are you centering them on the film? pushing to 20" on this device is hitting it's limits for imageable area. I'm assuming that the room conditions are ok........not having an ac or heater sporadically blowing air on it ...etc etc.
