ramage was alright when i used it years ago (back when you had to put in eps's, and a bunch of other BS). i've heard it's a lot better now.

and yes, i do keep a loaded shotgun beneath my bed (with slugs, not that sissy buckshot or rocksalt).

workflow

I have used both prinergy and truflow extensively, I find trufow to be superior. Only 5% of responders use it but hey a lot fewer people drive Mercedes than Fords or Chevys.

i've heard really good things about both. i've worked with prinergy lightly though. it seems like a real winner.

We just switched about 6 weeks ago and we like Prinergy better... but it's a lot to know and the operators loose their comfor zone for a while... and it's a PC server so file name restrictions and admin are "PC-ish"
Make sure you devote the proper person(s) as much as possible during startup assistance, it's more important/useful than the training class!

And make sure you don't lean on the Brisque and/or focus on daily turnarounds... it's important to get going on Prinergy and find and fix issues while the tech is there.

Preach/practice "Brisque is gone, get over it, don't look back" etc...
Good luck!

I really agree with you B2P! The on site training is a huge deal and getting owners/bosses to understand that is very hard sometimes. Unless you can pick up EVERYTHING on the first bounce, very few of us can, you'd better forget production for a few days. Take full advantage of the installation tech while he is at your plant, whatever workflow you decide to go with!

ApogeeX 3.5 here

We use ApogeeX 3.5 here. Fast, reliable, easy learning curve. Love it!

Slapshot

The Xenith workflow by Xytron is not listed in your poll, I was wondering how many users might be out there? I would also like some feedback from anyone using prinergy.
Thanks

am I the only Esko user that admits to it?

I may need to seek treatment...

maybe go the one that Brittany and all the other movie stars go to.

Unfortunatly, we're poor here. So, I created my own workflow. I like to call it "Stevinatergy"

I heard the next version is called "Stevinatergyready" with expanded automation and it is faster then real time!!

Regards,

Mark
