I don't know what version. Its a client of a client.
Do they need a driver or is there away out of the app to do it?

Tell them go to "print" from Word and at the bottom of the print dialog box there should be a button that says "PDF". If they have Acrobat pro loaded I believe the pdf icon should be at the top in the menu bar in Word.
