Do you use Adobe Print Engine based rip?

I have Dual 3.06 GHZ Xeon with 2GB RAM and I am not impressed with the speed. Using old workflow (EPS with OPI, ROOM, old trapping or even PDF flattened by DIstiller on the Rip with old trapping is OK but using PDF trap engine with native (un flattened PDFs) is SLOOOOOOOOOW

We are just starting to ship the MetaDimension 6.5 which can have both the CPSI and the Adobe PDF Print Engine. We did some benchmarks, with some files the Print Engine is faster then the CPSI and some it was slightly slower. You will also need your software to trap and color manage transparency. Ours software for this was released in January so we have pretty good track record with it. During this time period, I have not been told the trapping engine is slower then the previous version.
