Configuring Adobe PDF virtual printer in Windows
This is maybe a very basic question for those frequenting this forum, but for high end print production, how should the Adobe PDF virtual printer be configured in Windows? I was simply directing our clients to select the Press job option and thought that would take care of everything. But I noticed a competitors guidelines also require that true type fonts be downloaded as soft fonts. Shouldn't the true type fonts embed and be handled by Acrobat Distiller so that a PostScript Level 3 RIP will accurately render them? I've never had to do anything special to get true type fonts to embed into PostScript and then subsequetly be properly renderered by Distiller.
