I agree with those who say ID is a Page layout and Photoshop and Illy are the way to place art and/or graphics into it, (and I highly support the CS2 & 3 market) but one thing I see being overlooked in this thread is the fact that Freehand can create several pages in the same document that are different sizes. If a designer is creating say an "invitation" package, all the components can be done in one file. The 8 1/2 x 11 folded invitation, the 3 x 5 response card, the A-7 outer envelope, and the A-2 response envelope can all be laid out to size and contained in one document, which eliminates, creating multiple proofs or final documents for printing.
As a Printer, to me it's a pain in the ass, but to designers it's the greatest thing since sliced bread
