Flexo Question Plate Thickness? .045 and .067?

Question: What's the difference .045 or .067 for thermo plates for Flexo? We've been doing flexo for a number of years on 1 press on a very limited product line and all the Flexo platemaking has been outsourced. Now we're bring all the flexo prepress and plates internal. There is a lot of discussion about .045 and .067 plates going on.

I'm looking for opinions, thoughts, comments about the plate thickness.

We will be using thermo plates either Cyrel or Lava.

We use Cyrel .067 DFH plates.
We like the consistancy of the floor depth as compared to our older system.
We use an Esko Spark XT-25 for the imager & really like it. The machine just works and works.
