Intro from Jee

Hi. My name is Jee and I work as a Creative Director at a small textile company in Reno. Part of my job is to produce marketing materials in-house. I do product photography and layout design for our mailers.

It seems like most members here are prepress professionals, and I hope you guys don't mind me being here.. : ) I'm mostly interested in asking questions, but if there is anything I can do to help out, I'll be more than happy to do so.

Nice to meet you guys~~!!!

O.K. Now I'm gonna go post a question...I feel little shy about it... ^__^
but I'm too desperate not to.

Welcome to PPF Jee!

go ahead and ask anything, someone will either help or have a smart-ass comment, so either way you'll feel like your home!

the only stupid question is one not asked.

cheers and Happy Fourth!
David

Hi, I'm Alex, a self-taught prepress technician/artist, from the Philippines. I work as a prepress supervisor in a web printing press here and stuck in Agfa Accuset 1500 with Agfa Taipan RIP. I am happy that I stumble in this site while looking on how to deal with non-convetional software such as MS Publisher.

It's nice to have something you can feel you are in the right place.

Welcome Alex, you're in the right place to get a lot of info on "exotic" software!

Smile Prepress Graphic Artist

Hello there,

I am new. Been working in graphics since 1987.
I am glad there is a forum for us prepress techies.
I work for Panasonic doing mainly DVD labelart.
I worked for Cinram before that doing the same thing.

Occasionally I browse your forum for info and tips.
Thanks so much for the dedication and support.

FredX

Prepress n00b!

Greetings everyone! I've been in the print industry for about 5 years now but up until a couple of weeks ago I only dealt with digital printing (laser and wide format inkjet). Its now time for my trial by fire in the world of "real" prepress. Unfortunately the one person I have to learn from here is a goon and doesn't really know what he's doing (which is why I'm in his place now...long story) I'm glad I found this forum for I am sure I will have tons of questions and will be needing help soon! Nice to meet all of you and thanks for having such a great community for us printing freaks! Whoop!
