Demo of Extensis Portfolio 6 crashes, other recogs?

Will I looking for a simple image database app for internal use by the rest of the prepress techs. So I downloaded Portfolio Demo which looks like the ticket, but as it scans it hits some errors and then quits. So I'm not sold on it. What other affordable Image Database apps can you recogmend?

I know of Canto's Cumulus, which can handle just about any file format you can throw at it. How stable it is on OS X is unknown to me.

It's price competitive with Portfolio.
