Imposition Software

Hi, I was wondering If anyone knows of a good Desktop based application for creating Impositions. I know of classics like Imposition Publisher; but I was wondering if there was Something abit more effective and maybe more Dynamic.

any help would be Appreciated.

Many Thanks.

Preps is one of the industry standards - it can pretty much do anything you need it to, and there are 3 different versions you an get, depending on how much power/features you need.

I'll admit that I've never used any other impo software, so I can't give you any comparisons. I can tell you that when we first got Preps several years ago, life became much easier!

It depends on what you are looking for as far as "power" and your budget. Also, what kind of RIP do you send to? What exactly do you mean by "desktop based impo"? and do you want to impose PDFs, .ps, .eps files....

We use Dynastrip. Easy to learn and easy to use. It will impose .ps and .pdf. It all depends on your budget! How much or how little do you want to spend! Dynastrip works on PC or Mac OS9 and OSX.
