Photoshop DCS2 for output?
I recently had a publisher tell me they could not use my Photoshop DCS 2 file for an ad. Their specs indicate TIFF-IT, CT/LW, or raster based DCS2. I don't have a Scitex so I opted for DCS2.
I had saved the Quark page as an eps and then rastered at 1200 dpi so type would be as sharp as possible. The resulting file was big, but not super huge. I think ~50mb. Is this not a "raster-based DCS2?" Why would they not be able to use it?
Every other publisher I deal with accepts PDF X1a. This isn't a problem since I am using a Prinergy rip.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
