We are having a problem printing Large quark docs to Nexus. The printing hangs up about half way through. Dont think this is really a Nexus issue but more of a print issue but im wondering if anybody has had problems with large qurak files hanging while printing?

How many jobs are running at the time? How much free storage available on the box running nexus?

we are running quark 5 passport in classic, on a machine running 10.3.6. There is plenty of space on the nexus box.

How about your Jobs folder? Lots of items?
Any illustrator files with transparency, gradient mesh, too many points?

lots of Illustrator, lots of transparent shadows. some gradients! fun stuff

Did you flatten the eps files before printing? Did you select Compatible gradient/mesh when saving the eps files?

Classic has an issue with long docs. Try sending as a color composite and see if it prints.

Or distill it, see if you get any messages.

we have shadow caster shadows in our pages so we cant just send them to distiller.
