Chinese printer

I've been giving files to a print broker for customer to be printed in China. Both are print/computer illiterate. They insist on jpeg files (told me this AFTER I'd built the jobs in quark). I assume that any competent printer could take a pdf, but no go. Anyone with a smiliar experience? WTF?

This happens alot in the printing industry, people who think they know what they are doing are complete idiots. They don't ask or educate themselves and go by what they hear or think, no background at all.

No worries, the best you can do is educate them, and pray to god the next time around, they will know better!
