FTP solution for Customers

I am looking for a solution to allow our customers to upload files to via FTP and/or via our company website quickly, efficiently, simply and most importantly without being able to see other customers files. I also need this system to be extremely simple so that a CSR can create a username/password for a client.

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

We're using Rumpus

Rumpus: About Rumpus

It's very easy to install and administor. The FTP is nice because when you set up a user name & pw, it puts that person into their own directory. There's no way for them to even know there are other directories. It's very secure, and you can also set up upload notices. I highly recommend it for an easy FTP/Web hosting solution. All you need is a static IP address and a domain name attached to it....actually you really don't need a domain name.

We've just invested in "Rumpus" FTP software from Maxum Inc.

It runs on MAC OSX and uses your mac as the FTP server.

It enables you to create unique login details for each of your clients. Depending on the settings you give each client, they can Upload and or Download files to/from the server.

plenty of free FTP software around, but last thing you want is CSR asking you everytime how to create accounts again,

About 5 odd years ago i created something similar, and used WSFTP server, simple add min tool which allowed anyone withthe admin rights to create users and accounts. lots of software does this, but it had easy administration of group rights to allow users to download files as well, and easy creation of virtual folders.

We also use WsFTP Server and have for several years. It works very well. We then recomend that our customers use Cyberduck, or Fetch if connecting from a Mac. And WsFTP Pro or just IE if connecting from a pc. I have also found that Fire FTP plugin for FireFox works fairly well as well.
