New forums?
Would anyone be interested in a FlightCheck forum? How about a workflow, in its broader sense, forum?

what exactly do you mean by this? i would imagine this could be a great idea, considering we all use workflows of some kind. forums are great so we can see and sometimes prevent problems others are dealing with before we have them our self.

Workflow would be of great interest to me, also preflight but we have Onevisions Asura which, unless somebody can tell me different, is the best in the business (don?t mean to be selfish I would still take an interest in preflight).

I have nothing against Workflow as we all have some kind of it.
It could be good for solving some issues and just to meet other people's worklfow.

What exactly is Onevisions Asura? I read up a little about the product. It looked to me more like a workflow than just a preflight software.

Hi Brian
Asura is growing all the time but essentially it?s a distiller with arms and legs. It not only preflights PDF, EPS and Postscript but also fixes any problems it finds to pre-defined parameters. Obviously it can?t fix a 72 dpi pic but it will have a go if you need the pic at a minimum of 150 dpi for newspaper production and you have no time to go back to the studio that supplied the crap. Greg from Onevision who is a member of this site will be able to give you a more polished explanation if your interested I?m sure.
P.S. it's expensive !

It sounds like PitStop Server to me.

It is like pitstop server but better. Not sure but are you saying that pitstop server is a "workflow" ? Asura is just part of a workflow.

I don't know that you can call PitStop Server a workflow, but with the flexibility of PitStop Action Lists, it almost is.
Onevision tools are awesome. It's like a high end visual editor of PostScript, PDF etc.
