We have well over 5,000 members here. So I think the comments about getting all shy or funny acting over the "thousands of viewers" over at PP is very off base. Very off base..

I look at WhatTheyThink/PrintPlanet the same as a certain large company I know that doesn't have a lot of innovation. But they are determined to succeed. So, if you can't invent a better product yourself... just buy out the competition. That's what happened here. I'm willing to give them a chance... but I fear the worst. They are there to make money, that's it.

Cory,

You've hopefully got my email. ;-)

Don't listen to the negs here, they couldn't see an opportunity if it slapped them on the face.

Good luck to you fella!

I don't see too many people bagging on Cory for taking advantage of a good opportunity for him. Everyone, I think, understands that.

Having tried it out for the past 24 hours I'm leaning strongly to "I detest this forking thing" side. I don't like the layout and I don't like the software. It's clunky and not very intuitive. The way you have to do quotes, images, smilies, attachements, formatting of your message, and in general the whole thing...it smells of a good old fashioned fustercluck.

Wink

Is it me or did someone delete the feedback thread that was like 6 pages long on PrintPlanet.com??? I can't seem to find it anymore. There were some funny things going on in that thread. Maybe it was getting a little to heated for PrintPlanet to handle. PointyHat was really sticking it to the man in that other thread. It's too bad PPF is going bye bye. So far i'm not liking the new site but I am giving it the benefit of the doubt because it's still in Beta. Let's start our own site if printplanet doesn't work out. prepressforum.com. by the way cory can you get me registered on Printplanet I have been waiting for the registration email. my screen id is whoami. Thanks. Good Luck with the new site.

This will be my last post here, also. It's been a good ride! Not so sure about the new
place, but after 24 hrs. it's feeling a little more like home, I guess. Too bad it has to
be such a violent change, but I'm very happy for Cory, and I'm happy to hear that
our current mods will have the opportunity to remain in their jobs. I'm sorry to
hear that there are people upset who won't be joining in on the new PP. Been fun,
and good luck! I can honestly say that I'd have been fired long long ago if it wasn't
for PPF. Thanks to all the contributing members throughout the years, and thanks
to Cory for making sure the wheels were greased and the bar fully stocked!

I'm now off to find a box of tissues...
