I've been a member of PrintPlanet for long time now and at some point was in the "top 10" posters ... but things got stuffier as you guys said, and defocused... I joined this just a few months ago, and man, was I happy...
I believe the main difference is the awareness of having thousands of viewers. You do have an instinct to act differently in front of a crowd. For example, were someone to bash some Agfa product here (did someone said here the X45 is pure crap?), well, Steve won't mind THAT much as if someone bashes an Agfa product there, in front of thousands... gotta react.
And with so large an audience, there will always be someone who'll read the wrong twist into whatever you post.
There's also much less granularity. Not an "esko" subzone in a "workflows and apps" zone, for example. Well, this may not be that important, time will tell.
The one important thing is for you guys to act as if nothing had happened, to post in exactly the same tone and mood as if you were here, just forget that you now have thousands of viewers among which your former, current and future bosses, your competitors and your suppliers probably are.
Ooops - did I blew it by saying that?
Well, there's always anonymity, right?
