Time will tell though. PP reputation certainly puts a bad taste in everyones mouth about this.
The more I read @ PP, the more I realize it will NEVER be the way PPF was/is.

There are too many different types of people/fields of expertise over there.

What is the common ground here - Prepress.
What is the common ground at PP - Printing I suppose.... seems like a very broad range of people..

What I'm trying to say is - it was far easier to get this board to relate to each other as a group/family/community - It will take 20 times longer to do the same thing over there - if you ever can.

I agree 100%. They started off well with the CTP Forum and it thrived for a long time. But then, they tried to be too much to too many people. Lost focus and really didn't do anything well.

Very sad. This place has a sense of humor. PP doesn't.

After browsing over at PP, I think it will work out in time. A few PP oldtimers may object, but some I saw were cheering the PPFers on!

It is pretty broad in scope, but there is a prepress section within which we can still share opinions and experience.

Remember, it's only in Beta...

I predict the Prepress sections will be lively and active and the rest not so much Let's face it. It's easy for us, we sit in front of the access point all day with the ability to read and post only a few clicks or taps away. Aside from "Front office" people, vendors and maybe the occasional production management types, no one working in this industry has that kind of access. How many bindery guys do you know that are talking about posts on message boards around the coffee pot in the morning?

All our bindery guys post all day long from their laptops hanging around their necks, checking out the porn sites making the bindery gals jealous. I forgot---cell phones too.

How sad...I really liked this place. Learned A LOT.
Fun place to chat and share prepress life.
AND could get off topic and vent when needed.
I hope the other place wont suck...or we can just storm them with our style.

Seems like Selling OUT to the Man...Too Bad.
Best of luck to you...this was a great site and I'm grateful you created it for us Cory.
I vote too...
I gladly paid before...and would pay again to be apart of this great wealth of knowledge & keep the site as is.

Cory will you still have some control of how things are handled??
