Pitstop action - place text & embed font

We have been using a plugin from Creo for years to place our company 'imprint' (name & phone number etc) on the back page of catalogues that we print.

I am trying to create an action in Pitstop to do the same but i want the text to be 2 different fonts and rotated 90 degrees.

I also have found that i cant get the font to embed itself upon creation.

I can just use a straight 'image' copy action but i want our people to be able to edit the end of the line of text to change version details ie V1 V2 etc.

What do other people use for placing watermarks etc that allows editing afterwards?

Is there another plugin available cheaply that will allow a bit mor functionality?

Thanks. BigD.

Do the text in Illustrator, save as editable pdf, use this pdf as a "background" for the last page of your catalogue pdf (do this last part in Acrobat).

I am presuming that would be copied in as a graphic in an action.

Would it still be editable afterwards? and would the font embed itself?

Thanks, BigD

You would use "add copied graphics" and then edit the text in PitStop.

No, Acrobat allows you to use one pdf as a "background" or "watermark" for another pdf. You could reuse the background from month to month as the info changes.
