printing from Dynastrip

I'm a newbie. Been on the prepresstraining modules, [and shall return to them], but...thought I had it nailed in setting up Sig/Impo, importing PDFs, Add>Update...all of that stuff. When I go to Print, browsed to Desktop etc.; am not getting my expected imposed PDF file to look at.
Has it not generated for whatever reason? Not getting any error messages.
Gotta be something really simple. I'm sure this is a pretty good impo program, but it sure has its quirky ways. Once they become second nature, I'm sure it'll pretty much fly. In the meantime, I'd love to see my printed test PDF!
Also, how about all those ancilliary files! I'm sure they all serve a purpose but it sure looks like overkill compared to PREPS' .psi files.

Dynastrip specifies the location it prints to from the Print dialog box -
Click - PRINT > DEFINITION (for the output device) > DESTINATION (under the Output Device Definition window) and specify the path you want the file to print to. Dynastrip defaults to the last location you selected.

Thanks dirkster. Just started a week off work on short notice. Shall revisit in a week. I seem to have been able to follow the basics of your screenshot OK before., but when I opened it I only got trims and colour bar. My source PDF pages aren't visible, or have gone AWOL. Shall post again in about a week. Guess you'll pick up on email notification if I do. I'm still guessin' it's a mouse click away somewhere.
thanks again.

If you're only getting trims and colour bar, a check list for you: Does the raster mode generate a preview? (the blue button along the top of the design window). If it works, but the print doesn't, then it's probably something in the print dialogs. In output parameters, check the sheet layers are all on and check in printable objects that "pages" are enabled. Then try the preview button at the bottom left. That will create scratch files in the DynaStrip application folder, using the output device you have chosen. Since you have imported PDF files, you should have a PDF output device. Let me know how that goes.

Cool

Thanks for your replies, guys. Dyna is an extra impo app which we got with our Fuji RIP/workflow in Dec. We're using PREPS, and have been all along, but we've got the Dyna dongle so I'm intent on getting up and running with it in the next week or so. Shall print replies out and get back onto it next week. Got a feeling it's something pretty simple I'm missing.
PREPS has its quirks, but Dyna's are quite different. Interesting also that we are experiencing problems with .ps files from CS3 into PREPS. Looking forward to seeing what happens in Dyna. Definitely want to start getting into exported PDF flow, especially PDF in> PDF out in Dyna. Bypasses a lot of problems I reckon.
Shall post back on progress.
