Unhappy Color bars in Dynastrip?

Can someone please help me. I recently fell into this position and Im a little confused by how things are working. I have .eps files for 2 spot, 3 spot, black and 2 spot, and black and 3 spot color bars and I have imported them as a imported mark. I am using Dynastrip version 3.5.1 and Rampage Client version 9.4. On my monitor proof, it shows one of the colors or one plus black but its missing a color on the color bar and its replacing it with a different spot color name but its white. Sorry if this is confusing, I dont understand it all yet myself. Am I doing something wrong? I cant figure it out.

Thanks!!

It's been awhile since I've used Dynastrip but I think your problem is that when naming colours in Dynastrip they have to be named EXACTLY as they are in your documents. This may hold true for the .eps files as well.

We always used the "density bar" option in Dynastrip to provide colour bars but this gives you solid squares only.

How do you set up the density bar to give squares? I tried that and it just gave me a solid bar. Im new to all this and the users guide and website does not offer much help. My colors are named rsi_coloralias_1 and so on as to match the colors in the files. This is what I was told whoever set it up said it had to be. Any help is appriciated!!

You can set the size in the dialog box that is related to the density bar button to .25" wide. I wish I could be of more specific, but like I said, it's been awhile.

PrintMaster ICT.... did you ever get an answer to your question on the density bars? You may try emailing Dynagram support directly at support@dynagram.com. They should be able to help you.

All the best!
Michael

you have to have more than one color in you color table. but you do not have to output it, obviously.
so if you had to… you could add process to your color table and then delete c,m,y and leave black and your spot, then in your output make your black an inactive color.
