Hello,
I found a Gretag Thermal PlateJet 8 on this site and the price is very reasonable. However, the guy who sells it tells me it is able to expose only Agfa LT2, Kodak Gold and Fuji Pro T plates. Because of design, it requires a plate that can be exposed with 120 millijoules or less.
Can anybody comment on this. I was hoping to be able to get plates in India or China, as they are much cheaper than what I can get in South Africa.

Get the green laser type it will be able to do fuji plates and agfaLAp O, the thermal is going to make it very difficult to get plates. This is a cheap machine but the plate 1030by780 is the only one you will get. All UV plates and visible light are very difficult to mantein and pricy. This was a nice machine when lastra was aroun they had very nice plates and very easy to use.
