azura plates vs others

My head pressman has tested these but we're testing fuji also and right now running kodad sword excell.
The pressman likes the azura over the sword. So far he doesn't like the fact that the fuji plates are so sensitive. As he says it "if alittle bit of spit gets on one while you're talking it ruins the plate." and the light sensitivity and just touching it.
Any thoughts?
thanks

We have ben running the Azura here for almost 19 months, run about 400-500 per month.
I love em,no safe light needed, I can make them and run them right to press or to the racks and run them a week later with no issues.

Pressroom loves em, say they run just like our old Analog fuji's. We kept same fountain solution, same procedures, no extra water or make ready needed. They just dropped right in.

We have been running Azura for almost a year now and are very happy with the results. We did have to change the brand of plate cleaner, but other than than everything else seams very compatible. Unfortunately we have not been able to run stochastic, but that seems to be more related to the imaging engine than the plates.

The best thing is that they are negative working plates just like the old analog variety. This means that any tiny defect or dust spec is not likley to show up as a problem on press. They also erase well just like the analog plates so stone-offs are possible again.

Azura plates take alittle bit longer to expose than normal plates thus decreasing the amount of plates per hour that can be output (Deviced dependent ofcourse). Also 100,000 impression is about the max.

If you dont do huge run lengths and not ouptting 80+ plates per day then you cant really go past Azura plates - the easy cleaning and maintaince aswell as no more chemistry costs just make your life so much easier

Each imagesetter is slightly different so cant really give you a estimate.

On saying that the slowest ive heard is about 8 and hour so not much different from yourself at the moment.
