Fuji ProT Processless plates?

Anyone made the switch over to the ProT plates yet? we were going to this fall, but Fuji could not guarantee us ample supply until the late fall, so we decided to hold off...

just curious if anyone else has made the transition. We ran 2 sets of demo plates and they seemed to work as advertised.

We don't run enough plates to justify the change over, They told us that the price difference would be about what we pay for chemicals already so I'm stayn with the LP-NV plates but I'm curious about how those will work for you.

cory

very interesting since i've been told here in the UK that there are issues with availability as well

a little bird told me they wont be ploughing more investment into developing and supplying the plate until there is sufficient demand - which is arse about since there wont be any demand without a plate - if you catch my drift!

i think it's unusual for fuji to put a bad product out, and i dont think it's bad at all - but it's got to be available!

i saw the plate demo'd on a komori press and agree - it worked a dream. komori themselves even told our press manager and chief minder the plates were excellent.

off the track a little - in another thread i said i'd go with the agfa azura mostly because it's a "now", readily available technology - as opposed to an "it'll be available soon" technology

sorry - little help but interesting comments
