Agfa Lithostar LAP-R plates?

Does anyone heard for this plates?
I was hopeless try to find on Agfa web site.
There is just LAP-V and LAP-O.

I heard for LAP-R plates from seller who want
to sell me ECRM Tigercat (yr 2000) with HeNe red laser.
Do you know how long this plates will be in production
and can I use some other plates on that platesetter.
Help please.

Hi Weexy (if that is your real name!)

There are a variety of red laser devices that we still
provide plates for, but since 2001, those devices have
primarily switched over to violet for new sales. That's
perhaps why you saw no mention of LAP-R on the web
site, as currently there are no such new units sold.

It's not just the ECRM, there are also Screen devices,
Gerber devices, and more that still run well, using a
red laser and our LAP-R plates.

We have no plans to phase out LAP-R in the near future.
Just to cover yourself, you might want to check with ECRM
as to what the upgrade path is if the laser goes. That would
give you more assurance as you more forward, to understand
your options.

If this is indeed a red diode device, there should be an easy
upgrade to a violet laser, which would give you access to
more suppliers, and a brighter working environment, as the
red laser required quite a dim lighting restriction for manual
operation.

I hope this helps...

(And, oh - BTW - I loved my visit to Dubrovnik last year...)

Thank steveagfa for your information.
I already ask in ECRM for laser upgrade
but they can't upgrade this version of Tigercat.
