400 nm CtP Plates

Who knows of any manufactures (other than AGFA) of 400 nm Violet CtP plates that will run on an AGFA Galileo VS 8up machine? Need this info ASAP!!!

Thanks!

PrintMonger...

It depends on what laser you have in that Galileo.

If was purchased new since about Drupa 2004, then
it probably has a 60 mW violet laser. Prior to that, it
probably has a 5 mW violet laser. The 5mW laser
can be upgraded in the field to 60 mW.

If it's 5 mW, then this would require a silver-based
plate- - such as Agfa LithoStar LAP-V, or Mitsubishi's
silver violet plate. Heidelberg sells this kind of plate
in some regions.

If it's a 60 mW laser, then the unit can also image
violet photopolymer plates - from Agfa (N91V), Kodak,
Fuji, etc...

I hope this helps...
