Sword Excel with Ultragrain. Any?

Hey guys! How're you all doing?

I will start to work with Sword Excel w/ Ultragrain. I have read so much theory about it but the reality would be different.

Does anybody has experience with ultragrain?

Thanks in advance.

Ps. Hey buddies! I still very bussy with new projects, but don't forget this lovely community. Hope to see you soon and god bless you all.

Stay tunned.

Thanks alot 43!

Of course this helps me. Now I'm prepared to face Ultragrain problems without spend a lot of money and press downtime.

People is changing, so I changed to Heineken. Cheers my bro and have a "beer" day!

We had to adjust our scrub pressure down on the developer.
Pressroom hasn't complained. ( a miracle! )
So I guess you could call that no problems.

We saw many changes with Ultragrain Sword plates, first color shifts on press... even though Kodak claims there should be no change.. you will need to re-profile press. Next is HI-LPI issues. If you print 150-175-200 then you are okay, anything higher like 241-283 hybrid or 10-15-20 micron stochastic, forget about it. These plates won't hold he finer dots.

Good luck,
-Dub

We are running 200-260 lpi. Old Sword Excel plates run well at this lpi but comments here for ultragrain plates are different.

We plan to do some press proofs with Ultragrain plates in selected jobs.
