Fuji FLH-P Processor question...

Fuji FLH-P Processor

those of you running this.. how often are you having to replace the white plastic Delren Gear that drives your short plate assembly rollers??...

It's only been 6 months and I came in to one all "dang messed up" and off rolling against the side of my roller this morning... I've ordered more, and will replace it tomorrow.. till then, to not be down, I "borrrowed" the gear from my gum roller per the service dept at Enovation.

Why in the world would these gears be plastic instead of stainless steel??..

...so they can charge me $52.28ea every 6 months!! what a jip. make the shit right damnit.

sorry, no ranting, just curious what others have seen. TIA

we have had our processor for about 2 years and have yet to replace a gear...

the did replace a few gears when they switched over our plates to the LHPI plates (I think the old gears had some slop and were creating a "chatter").

the only thing we routinely replace on ours is the brush cover.

Something is wearing the gear out. Rollers are not set right or there is a build-up somewhere. Anyway it sound like the roller is cocked.

really?.. well that's good to know that they arent as cheaply made as what this current issue makes it out to be.. the little screw that goes down through the gear and into the little hole on the bar, worked it's way out and turned sideways down inside the gear up against the bar. very weird. The gear ended up chewing into the roller on the end as well. very minimal damage but still some damage to the rubber roller. Frustrated because this is brand new(6mnths) and I wanted to keep it as nice and new as long as possible...

thanks for your quick response Cory.

I'll look at that. It makes sense. there are 4 screws that control the amount of pressure between the two rollers and maybe they need adjusting so that everything in the set is straight and parallel. Thanks Jim.

Ahh! once again Jim is King!! The ultimate problem is that the gears were WAY too FREAKIN tight against each other and cocked a bit. With the new gears tomorrow morning... proper time will be taken to "level" the rollers and bar and make sure gears are not too tight and not too loose.

Thank You again Jim and Cory. you can always count on PPF.
