Cleaning your fuji processor...

I would like everyone who uses fuji flh-p processor, to list how many plates they run between cleanings. Install guy said to clean every 2 weeks, but we don't do nearly as many plates as most of you guys. We have run around 100 plates in the last 2 weeks and I don't think I'm going to change it yet because the chemicals are expensive. Of course being brand new though, I would like to keep it clean. Just trying to get a feel for what I can get away with and get a healthy balance between keeping clean and not wasting chemicals that are still good. TIA to all.

they told us every 2 weeks as well...

honestly i've never pushed it far enough for the presses to have problems, so i'm not sure how far along we could go

right or wrong, I usually just wait until our conductivity gets 3 points +/- from our set point (43 for us)

it probably works out to be once every 3-4 weeks. Each shop will be different depending on how many plates you do and your replenishment amounts.

We change chemistry every 1,200 plates (about 2 weeks)

We keep the conductivity + or- .3 from the initial setting after the chemistry comes up to temperature, this number may change from batch to batch. The new number is recorded after every Change!!

We sometimes have to add a "Cocktail" of water (lowers Conductivity) or replenisher (increases Conductivity) too keep things up to snuff.

The chemistry is $$$ so use it up as much as you can

We use Fuji LP-D3 developer with a Fuji FLP85 processor, We produce an average of 300 plates per month, Fuji told us at this rate we would prolly have to change chemicals 2 to 3 week intervals...they said the more plates we produced the longer life we would get from chemicals.

REAL LIFE...We run our chemicals as much as 6 weeks without a change...I check plates on a weekly basis and when I notice an adverse
change in my plate readings I'll change chemicals or 6 weeks whatever comes first. We have had this system in place for almost 2.5 years and it has worked for us.
We also keep the conductivity = or- .3

I was told to just add replenisher(about 3 oz) if it gets below 41, and add water(about 1 cup) if it gets above 45, that's really all they told me other than every two weeks. I guess I just need to watch it and see, thanks Cory and all....

anyone else's vary from these at all please feel free to speak up.
