Hi Matt.

We certainly can't discount the huge impact Kreo has made in the industry.

Your comment was who "ships" more devices... and to me that means
market share - as in annual shipments. For devices - that's Screen. If
one is counting a single brand - then Creo certanly is up there - but now
we're splitting hairs. And, my figures do not count the former Topsetter
devices that HDM licensed from Screen.

Regardless, within the context of the original thread - I would agree
(naturally) with the suggestion to stick with the more common manu-facturers of Screen, Agfa - and of course I would add Fuji (FFEI), HDM and Kreo as being in that top tier - all mature technology from major players.

However, one can't rule out others - which might have more of a niche
here in the US - such as Luscher, or older steadfasts such as ECRM.

basys certainly has a fit - but with plate prices the way they are -
some are finding it harder to ROI a CTcP - especially relative to
newer benefits of processless or chemistry-free thermal systems.

Just like that old "commercial" on SNL - we're both right!

Regards,

Steve.

One other thing you might want to consider is service.
Our Agfa service technician, whose territory covers hundreds of miles, lives about ten minutes from our shop. Assuming he's not far away on another service call he's over here lickety-split whenever we need him.
