not sure about the copydot tiff to dcs, but I can tell you about the barco .grs to Illustrator.
Do you have an Esko workstation?
if so, select the file in your Pilot and do an Export to PS. Open said PS file in Illy.

If not, you'll need to get whomever sent you the .grs file to convert it for you.

You need a special software to do that (unless your copydot has only one plate). Sometimes, you'll even need proprietary software (I may be wrong), which means that a copydot file generated by Eskofot may not be readable by Creo "Copydot Toolkit" software and a Creo copydot file may not be readable by Eskofot's "Perfection" software.

I don't have an Esko station, but I do have the Nexus. Is it absolutly necessary to have an Esko station? I don't think I am gonna get the cooperation I want on the other end. Maybe there is some other way I can create a PS file, maybe the graphic converter will allow me to do something with the files? I haven't even received the files yet, I was just seeing what my options are. Thanks so much for the help!

Esko (Barco) .grs files are proprietary files, you probably won't be able to open then in anything but an Esko workstation.
Let me know if you need help. If you don't have but one or two, I might be able to export them for you.
PM with me with your email addy and I'll hook you up with my FTP info.
