CS3 Bridge Colour Settings - Replicate in Quark?

Working in pre-press

So, Adobe apps can be configured through bridge to use any number of presets for output in europe and the states - what an excellent idea!

I have my copy of CS3 set-up for General Europe Purpose 2, as are all the other copies in the building, meaning I can take a job to any machine and create a PDF, and they will all match.

We also have version 6.5 and 7 of Quark Express installed throughout, and I want to set the same output settings in Quark to match CS3's ouput.

Now, the CMS set-up in Q6.5 and Q7, are totally different, and different again to Adobes, how do I go about getting them all to output to the same settings?

Am I looking for the holy grail?!?!?!?!

Quark and Adobe handle color in two different ways. You can manually assign the profiles in Quarks color management preferences to use the same profiles. But the engines deal with color differently.

Some call it "searching for the holy grail". Others who are a bit more pessimistic call it a "pipe dream".
