Just make a curve to compensate for that when proofing. That would be the easiest way.

I have to agree with him. As far as having Pitstop check automatically wouldn't it also pick up the 1% on gradiants or drop shadows? If it did then you would think you had scum dot when you didn't. Do you not run contract proofs, just low res for impostion?
