Profile Wizard inconsistency

Using Profile Wizard 2 on a G4, OS 9.2
When I scan in a target (either IT8 or Ksmart), looks ok on screen in Oxygen. I launch Profile Capture, open the scan, looks good. I close it and select "Measure," select the same scan and it looks very different - much darker, much browner, also RCB values read differently. When I measure it, it says "measurement failed" and to check the scanner. User error? I can only hope............
