1 bit Tiff Rip

I'm on the search for a good ( not necessarily the best ) 1 Bit Tiff rip for my Epson 10000. I curently own a BestColor XXL 4.something and upgrading to the latest EFI ScreenProof would cost around 7000$ CND. I wold like to keep my Best Rip and add a smaller cheaper rip for proofing 1 bit tiff.

It for content Proof Only not color.

TIA - one_mack

Check to see if you upgrade the license you have with Best to allow for TIFF out proofing. It is a Plugin for most systems but I cannot as I use a GMG and soon to be harlequin 7. It shouldn't be anywhere near $7K as that is the cost of the XXL license.

Another way is to share the TIFFs via a shared directory and place the TIFF and print to the Epson via TCP/IP assuming the Epson is visable on the print network. I do this now - show a print spooler for quick proofs and come in the back way (currently with Black Magic) after finishing RIPping the plate images.

I have an old version (V4) of ColorTuner if interested.

EFI ColorproofXF, I am pretty sure you could get upgrade pricing and it is fairly user friendly. I have been using it for 4 months(with the Epson 7600) with NO complants.

Just to inform you guy's buying the upgrade for my Best Color to the EFI current version is/or more expensive then buying a bran new RIP. So I decided to go with GMG. They seam to be wining every color comparison test I have seen. And i had resellers do some testing for me ( on an equal PC as mine ) and GMG came slightly a head in ripping time for large 1 Bit tiff files. And we all know every minutes counts these days.

Any how thanks to hall who answered me.
