Clear Material for Epson 10600??

Anyone printing on a clear material on the their Epson 10600? I need to find a vendor who carries a clear material 44" roll that I can use for dielines and Varnish overlays. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dub

Dub I know a partner that is printing on an HP. and we share building space with a company called "Vision Graphics" who supplies all kinds of vinyl and other materials to large format printers. Send me a pm tomorrow and I'll check with Tom as to what he can offer.

PS where are you located, we overnight UPS anywhere in the country

If the Epson proofers are anything like the HP proofers you will need to make sure you have tissue paper behind your clear material so the sensor will know it exists.

Hey Dub:

We have the Epson 9600, which is the slower version of you're priner, but it does something great, and that is it accepts sheets! What we found was pretty simple and cost effective was we used left over acetate from our stripping days and an old case of Translucent paper and it works like a charm.

Now we only do three to four a week so it was not worth it to invest in a full roll of mylar.

I have done alot of testing with clear base for our die lines and we have found two problems:
1. because of the slipsheet wound in the roll, the clear base can move and cause imaging problems

2. The major problem is stability. We have found that on a 28" x 40" dieline it can distort 1/8" or more using our Epson 9600.

We have found that the most stable clear to be made by CGS and you can get it from Enovation or XPEDEX
