Nexus 8.5 Rev2 is out!

Enjoy..Very nice to see a patch this quick.

Looking over the Change log not as many things got fixed has I had hoped. Maybe they just left them out of the change log.

They do list a fix for FTPExpose, that might fix the epson issue many have found.

I'm getting errors with CIP3 and our previous settings. Had to increase the dpi for it to work for me.

When you open the Expose Epson Module and set your parameters and then close it and reopen the module all your setting are gone. For some reason it resets all your settings in this module evertime you open it. If you "set it and forget it" your settings should be remembered until the next time you open the module. That's one bug another one is.....

If you start off with a blank workflow and drag the PDFtrapping module into your workflow it will not trap. Everytime we tried to run something through it would give us this error "COLLECTION COULD NOT BE FOUND". Support said to delete whatever was in the Collection Name For Ink Traps preference in the trapping module. I did this and it still gave us and error. What I had to do is have Nexus create a workflow for me with the PDFTrapper included. Then I just deleted all the module that I didn't need and left the PDFTrapper by itself in the workflow. Then I did what support said and deleted whatever was in the Collection Name For Ink Traps preference and it worked. Strange.

Also the Expose Epson Module on a Intel Mac does not work yet.

Installed it with no errors. That's as far as I've gotten. No time to even start it up.

Thursday evening is "Beta test Nexus software for free" day. (Maybe...busy week this week)

The error I was getting with the "error collection could not be found" was because Nexus could not see the Librarian database. It's another bug that they logged and will fix.

I've yet to install. I figure I might get around to in the next few weeks.

But for those that have been willing to test...please do post issues that have been solved along with bugs.

I would also like to see public feedback on what they like thats new.

Devin
