epson WF and spots

Just upgraded from 8.1 to 8.4 rev2 and anything with a spot color is erroring out with a undefined color error.

Naturally didn't have that problem in 8.1. Is there some library or color definitions file I am missing?

Thanks

Import or Raster WF? You must define an ink book in the Import module if it's an Import WF.

Well there are 2 things that you can do. first thing is shut down the 8.4 rip and find the User Colours file that is in the Nexus 8.4 Rev 2 folder. Delete this and replace it with the User Colours file that was in the 8.1 Rev X. This should fix that problem you are having. The second thing that you can do is you can run the same file that errored out on you and wait for it to error out again. Then double click on the job and double click on the Merge OPPO file module. A window should pop up giving you a list of all the colors that are in the file. One or more of those colors should be colored white cmyk=0000. just double click on this seperation give it a color 100m 100y or whatever you want. click ok and it should ask you if you want to save this color in the User Colours list then click yes. This should fix it. Let me know how it works out for you.

By the way you are not missing any color definition file its just that the color definition file (User Colours) is by default blank when you upgrade.
